About Me
Growing up, my mother was a pediatric nurse who also worked service jobs to pay our rent. Meanwhile, my dad worked a full time job while putting himself through school to be the first in our family to graduate with a college degree. Through constant determination, they were able to provide a good life for me, but they are the last generation that have even been offered that chance.
At times when I was working three jobs and could barely afford rent, I had unpredictable hours, below poverty wages, and no health benefits. Growing up in a "right-to-work" state, my parents and I never had workers' rights or a union. We've seen countless presidential administrations attack workers' rights and the ability to make a living wage.
Over the last several decades, costs have continued to rise, while wages have remained flat or below cost of living increases. I know we can lift up our communities and provide real, tangible results for everyday people who are sick and tired of our broken political system. Let's turn the page together to a future led by us, not the wealthy elite.
